Tech Tip: How To Print Screen on an iPad (Screen Capture Function)

For some of you tech aficionados out there, this may be old news. However, for others, sometimes the simplest posts are the sweetest. The iPad keyboard doesn’t have a print screen button like a normal Windows keyboard, however Apple has a history of having Windows-like features, but accessing them in a different way.

The Print Screen feature is built into iOS and can be accessed without downloading any additional applications. Follow the simple process below to capture your iPad screen shot:

  1. Get your screen ready for capture.
  2. Press and hold the Home button, then press the Power button.
  3. Release both buttons at the same time. That’s it!

You will then see a momentary white screen and hear a “camera click” sound, this identifies that your screen capture was successful. Your screen image will be saved in your Photo application and is immediately accessible.

This feature is also accessible on the iPad Mini, iPod Touch, and iPhone. Enjoy!
